Project overview
This project will rehabilitate roughly five miles of US 395 from just north of SR 231 through Chewelah in Stevens County. The project includes removing the surface of the existing pavement and paving with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).
What to expect
This project will be accomplished by removing the surface of the existing pavement, repairing portions of the underlying pavement, paving with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), crack sealing, guardrail, guideposts, pavement markings, and centerline rumble strips. Once completed, the roadway surface will have a smoother ride that will be preserved for years to come.
During construction, travelers can expect a reduced speed approaching the work zone and lane closures with flagging.
