Emergency Purchase – Northwest Region – SR 167 bridge over 3rd Ave SW

Contract summary

On September 23, 2025, the SR167 bridge over 3rd Ave SW in Pacific was damaged by an over-height vehicle, severely affecting traffic by reducing northbound lanes to one. This disruption impacts emergency services, commercial traffic, and public mobility. Due to the long lead time to fabricate a replacement concrete girder and the urgent need to restore full roadway access, WSDOT decided to directly procure the girder rather than rely on the contractor, expediting the process. After evaluating three capable vendors, WSDOT selected Concrete Technology Corporation (CTC) for its proven performance and timely production capacity. This approach will significantly reduce the closure duration and restore normal traffic flow sooner.
