Sign up for WSDOT travel alerts

There are several ways to get travel alerts from us straight to your device. Find out how to subscribe or unsubscribe to emails, push notifications or text messages. 

Emails

You can subscribe to WSDOT emails through GovDelivery to know before you go. Receive current traffic conditions, mountain pass reports, construction updates and more.

Unsubscribe from emails or manage your subscriptions

Unsubscribe or add topics through your subscriber preferences - you will be asked to enter your email address first.  After you log in, you can remove current subscriptions or delete your account.

App push notifications

To sign up for push notifications, you need to download the WSDOT mobile app. You can find it by searching for "WSDOT" in Google Play or the App Store.

Select the notification bell (in the top-left corner of the screen on iPhone, or in the menu on Android) to find the notification menu. From here you can toggle notifications on and off.

You can stop push notifications at any time by going back to the notifications settings menu in the app. Tap on the toggles to turn them on or off.

Text alerts for ferries and Snoqualmie Pass

We only offer text alerts for Washington State Ferries and Snoqualmie Pass. 

Snoqualmie Pass 

Text “START” to the number 85107 on your mobile device. 

We’ll send you texts about delays of two hours or longer, planned construction, severe weather warnings and road closures that may impact traffic and travel times.

Ferries 

Sign up for ferries text alerts. Enter your phone number and choose a route you travel frequently or opt in to all alerts. 

Reply STOP at any time to stop texts

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.  Reply HELP for help, reply STOP to opt out.
