Project overview
This project will rehabilitate the concrete deck of the I-90 overcrossing at Rosamond Avenue in Spokane. Crews will repair delaminated and deteriorated areas and apply a protective inlay to provide a sound, smooth surface, prevent further corrosion of the reinforcing steel, and preserve structural integrity of the bridge deck for years to come.
What to expect
This project was completed on August 23, 2023. There are no impacts to the traveling public.

The Rosamond Avenue Bridge was constructed in 1962. A modified concrete overlay was applied in 1981.
In the spring of 2021 the bridge deck on the Rosamond Bridge began to delaminate. Cracking and pieces of concrete were beginning to loosen on the surface creating hazards while driving. Maintenance crews and bridge engineers determined that a full closure of the bridge was necessary until funding for replacing the bridge deck could be secured.
In October 2022, bridge engineers determined that there was no immediate safety risk to travelers crossing or passing underneath the bridge, and reopened the bridge until the rehabilitation project begins.
