What to expect

Culvert replacement work is complete. Crews will return to the project after the 2025/2026 winter to do some roadway patching. In August 2026, paving will begin.

The existing pavement is separated and cracking from multiple landslides and age. Signs are lacking modern safety standards and will need to be updated. Guardrail needs to be replaced or adjusted to conform to current safety standards. Non-fish bearing culverts become clogged, causing maintenance issues and water overflow onto the roadway and therefore need to be replaced.

Repair work at Rasmussen Creek and Jansen Creek is due to the winter storms that hit the area in 2022 and 2023.
